Join artist Jill Magid for Stenographers' Notes, a weekly gathering of the public in her exhibition Notice of a Citizen at 509 West 27th Street in New York. On each Wednesday for the remainder of Magid's exhibition, Erin Leland will read a selection of White House stenographers' notes from 1973 to the present. Bracketed words and phrases noted by White House stenographers recur through Magid's exhibition, marking the presence of an audience that is heard but not seen. Arranged across the gallery, they read like stage directions and register a public over the artist's lifetime.
